A rainy Swansea night still attracts
Over 400 to Seriously Funny event
Monday 28th November was the day that the Seriously Funny tour visited Swansea.  There was lots of anticipation for this event and even the driving rain didn’t stop people coming along to the City Temple, Swansea Elim to be a part of it.

People came from all over Wales and some beyond that to witness Adrian Plass and Jeff Lucas share stories from their own christian lives, observations they had picked up on, their journey of faith and plenty of funny stories thrown in that had the crowd in hysterics.

Alongside Jeff and Adrian sharing stories, Nicki Rogers a christian singer from London played some songs from  her three albums as well as her new single “I bless the day”.   For more info on Nicki click here
The night ran from 7.30 - 10.00 pm and was split into two sections.  During the interval there was plenty of opportunity to visit the bookstall where there was some amazing deals to be had on Adrian and Jeff’s books.  3 books for £20 was the deal of the day and many of you took them up on such an offer.  All Nicki’s Cds were also available and lots of you bought one to listen further.

The second half of the evening included a question and answer session which was very entertaining.  People had the opportunity to text in questions to a dedicated mobile phone or for the low tech out there they could just write a question on a bit of paper and pop it in a box.  Questions ranged from how Jeff became a christian to asking whether Jesus would be supporting the planned public sector strike.  A very balanced and humerous response was provided for all the questions by Jeff and Adrian.

A big thank you to all of you who came out in the rain to support this event.  Also to everyone who supplied us with email addresses for future events.  If you didn’t get chance to give in your details on the night please email event53promotions@gmail.com  we want to let as many people know about our events as possible so please get in touch so we can let you know to!
